So the 3DS was released on March 27th. The system is touted for its greatly improved hardware including 3D capability and an expanded memory cache. I really wonder if it's worth the $250 price tag, though.
After years of GameBoy, then DS, then PSP, I came to a realization: handheld games don't entertain me. I simply played them out of a necessity for stimulation rather than enjoyment. To be honest, any old iPod game today will do for me. So are handhelds still relevant?
I can't see much use for them other than to revisit old, favorite labels.
awsome shit! sounds really sweet i should get one! i always love playing video games
ReplyDeleteI never got into the portable handheld world but I do find myself bored when not near a console or computer. Could be time to pick a DS or PSP up, hmmm.
ReplyDeleteI always get bored of handhelds, unless I play with friends. Last handheld I bought was the Gameboy micro. I have to admit though the 3DS blew my mind :D
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Would love to get one.
ReplyDeleteI usually use my DS to play RPGs and long games because I'd prefer to be able to do them while on transport etc.
ReplyDeleteI want one now. But the battery life is mad small so I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteI tried one out that my friend had and thought the 3d was really weird. Maybe I just did it wrong :/
ReplyDeleteHandholds are definitely relevant. I play my iPhone and DS just as much as any TV based console.
ReplyDeleteI just love handholds
ReplyDeleteMore when I was a kid,but I enjoyed roaming around in GTA Chinatown on the DS.
I also love the pokemon games, damn.
i wanna know how this thing works
ReplyDeleteI so want this!
